Community Pistol League

The Community Pistol League (CPL) is a Rochester Rifle Club program for individuals firing the National Gallery Course of fire. Most competitors use .22 caliber pistols but the competition is not limited to .22 caliber.

The National Gallery Course of fire at 50' is 30 shots:

  • 10 shots slow fire - (2) five shot strings in 10 minutes
  • 10 shots timed fire - (2) five shot strings, 20 seconds each
  • 10 shots rapid fire - (2) five shot strings, 10 seconds each.

Competitions are Wednesdays, from 4:30pm to 8pm from mid-September through late March less holiday breaks. Twenty-four matches are fired from mid-September through late March less holiday breaks.

We welcome all new members. You don't have to be an expert marksman to shoot in the league and have a good time. Many of the members will gladly provide a little training and show the novice how to get started. CPL offers the opportunity to shoot for enjoyment from beginner to serious competitor. You are welcome to join even during mid-season.

For more information or answers to questions contact us at cpl@rochesterrifleclub.org.

All are invited to visit the club and range.
