Community Pistol League

The Community Pistol League is a Rochester Rifle Club (RRC) program for individuals and teams firing the National Gallery Course of fire with mostly .22 caliber pistols.

The National Gallery Course of fire at 50' is 30 shots:

  • 10 shots slow fire - (2) 5 shot strings in 10 minutes
  • 10 shots timed fire - (2) five shot strings, 20 seconds each
  • 10 shots rapid fire - (2) five shot strings, 10 seconds each.

Competition is on Wednesdays, from 4pm to 10pm. Twenty one matches are fired from late September through late March less holiday breaks.

We welcome all new members or entire teams. You don't have to be an expert marksman to shoot in the league and have a good time. Any league officer or team captain will gladly provide a little training and show the novice how to get started. CPL offers the opportunity to shoot for enjoyment from beginner to serious competition. You are welcome to join even during mid-season.

If you should write, please mention the Community Pistol League or CPL for more information.

All are invited to visit the club and range.
